Dan Tyminski as 2026 Blue Blaze AwardHonoree
Saturday, July 4th @5:00 pm.

The Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree & Crafts Festival is proud to announce that Dan Tyminski, one of the most celebrated voices and instrumentalists in modern bluegrass and American roots music, has been selected as the 2026 Blue Blaze Award recipient. Tyminski will be honored on Saturday, July 4, 2026, during the Jamboree’s nationally recognized program.

Tyminski is an award-winning vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and longtime member of Alison Krauss & Union Station. His iconic performance of “Man of Constant Sorrow” in O Brother, Where Art Thou? helped ignite a global resurgence of interest in old-time and bluegrass music. He has earned multiple GRAMMY Awards, collaborated across genres, and remained a steadfast ambassador for Appalachian musical traditions.

The Blue Blaze Award is presented annually to an artist who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the preservation and advancement of traditional Appalachian music.
